A 'Bond-graph' interpreter for the analysis and simulation of multiport systems (see Karnopp, D. and Rosenberg, R.C, 1968). GRASP facilitates simulation of ordinary differential equations. Although it is usually interactive and interprets statements on the fly, it can also compile the model by generating a FORTRAN IV intermediate. GRASP bears some resemblance to ISL (from QMC and W), TUTSIM (a bond graph interpreter developed in Twente University, Holland) and the more widely known SPICE. Written in FORTRAN IV, this package was developed in conjunction with Dr. F.Evans (QMC & W) and Dr. M. Hill (AFRC Babraham). Designed for biological problems it was actually used to design a 2 megaWatt dredger motor control system for Laurence, Scott and Electromotors Norwich. (I needed the money to run my biological research program. The program ran interactively on one of the two UEA ICL1900 computers. It needed the whole computer (all 132 KB of 24 bit memory ICL 1900
